The construction of Statfjord A included two major industrial assignments: construction of a concrete substructure and a topside so complicated that no one had done anything like it before.

The casting the GBS for Statfjord A took place at Norwegian Contractors in Hinnavågen.

While the topside was being built at Aker Stord Verft.
